Starting and Staying with a Good Training Plan

One of the toughest things about working out is sticking with your training plan or exercise regimen. One great way to stay on track is to establish a goal.

First, establish your goal. For example, "I'm going to get in shape by July 4th" or "I'm going to dedicate the next 12 weeks to get in shape." Then, pick your favorite activities: running, cycling, hiking, yoga, boot camp, etc... If you are starting from scratch, start off slow, if you are already working out and reaching your plateau, try something very different from what you've been doing (aerial arts, boxing, plyometrics). Finally, develop a plan either on your own or with a coach or trainer and start working out.

Once you've established a goal and created your plan, your workouts will become more a part of your life and less of a hassle. Your increased and regular physical activity will not only curb your appetite but will also affect your food choices. Moreover, if you know you have a hard workout scheduled in the morning, you will most likely not load up on junk food the night before. These benefits and more can be achieved through a dedicated training plan.

We spend so much time planning and setting goals for so many aspects of our lives, but don't necessarily dedicate as much time to our own physical health and well-being. So, what have you got to lose? Get started and set your fitness goal now.

Have great week. Schedule and announcements below. Hope to see you soon.
